Role Overview: Responsible for performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Independently operate imaging equipment, prepare and administer medications as prescribed, and ensure patient safety by applying ALARA principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history securely.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and evaluate image quality.
- Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the radiology department.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a radiologic technology program; new graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months; ability to perform diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy; strong attention to detail and patient safety.
