Position Overview: Performs CT procedures under Radiologist supervision to acquire diagnostic digital images, utilizing advanced technology and established protocols. Ensures patient safety by proper preparation, positioning, and shielding, while maintaining knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physics to optimize image quality and minimize radiation dose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to produce high-quality images for diagnosis.
- Maintain protocols aligned with safety guidelines and dose management programs that monitor scan levels.
- Obtain images per clinical criteria, adjusting technical factors for quality and efficiency.
- Perform interventional CT procedures and advanced CTA imaging, including specialized studies like TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging.
- Ensure patient safety, proper preparation, and adherence to protocols tailored to various organ and vascular systems.
- Maintain knowledge of clinical histories, pharmacology, and physiology relevant to imaging procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a specialized training program.
- Technical expertise in operating multiple CT systems across different locations.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, physics, and safety guidelines.
- Ability to interpret technical factors to enhance scan quality and speed.
