CT Technologist PRN

Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, age-appropriate diagnostic imaging services by performing a variety of technical procedures independently. The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, and ensures high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. They must demonstrate proficiency in equipment operation, patient care, and radiation safety while maintaining patient privacy and comfort.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify clinician orders and obtain patient history.
  • Administer contrast media safely and review images for quality.
  • Respond to emergencies and assist with all modalities as needed.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, privacy, and comfort.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, report malfunctions.
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Maintain documentation, quality control, and compliance with regulations.
  • Transport and position patients, restock supplies, and perform clerical duties.
  • Participate in departmental training and adhere to policies and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS.
  • Minimum 1 year of radiology experience; CT experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control procedures.
