CT Technologist – Per Diem

Role Overview: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and research imaging procedures using ionizing radiation. They independently conduct or assist with CT and molecular imaging, ensuring accurate data acquisition for diagnosis and treatment, while adhering to safety protocols and federal regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentially.
  • Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety and quality.
  • Prepare, administer, and document medications via vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and ensure data is stored, transferred, or processed correctly.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and perform CT scans as prescribed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment. Advanced certification within 24 months for new hires after a specified date.
  • Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work in a clinical environment, with knowledge of safety, technical protocols, and patient care standards.
