Role Overview: Performs CT procedures to acquire diagnostic images, supporting physicians in disease diagnosis and treatment. Ensures protocols are based on clinical guidelines and manages dose data to notify when scan levels exceed preset thresholds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems with technical expertise.
- Maintains knowledge of multiple CT systems across different locations.
- Adheres to Image Gently Guidelines and manages dose data integration.
- Uses clinical history and knowledge of organ and vascular systems to select appropriate protocols.
- Prepares and positions patients, applying protective shielding and correct technical factors.
- Performs CT interventional procedures and advanced CTA imaging, including TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac studies.
- Maintains awareness of pharmacology and physiology to optimize scan quality and safety.
- Adjusts technical factors to improve scan quality and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program. Strong understanding of physics, anatomy, and patient safety. Ability to perform complex procedures and interpret technical factors for optimal results.
