Role Overview:
This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily in computed tomography (CT), on adult and pediatric patients for diagnostic and treatment purposes. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, performs studies independently, including on-call and portable exams, ensuring quality care with advanced imaging technology.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
- Perform imaging studies accurately and independently.
- Assist in maintaining quality control and adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum education: Associate or Trade School.
- No prior experience required; training provided.
- Licenses & Certifications: IEMA (excluding MRI), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES.
- Preferred experience: 2+ years, CPR, and IV therapy certifications.
- Must be willing to cross-train in CT; R.T. (R) registration required if not already CT registered.
Key Duties:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures with attention to safety and quality.
- Ensure patient comfort and proper positioning.
- Maintain equipment and documentation according to department standards.
