CT Tech II provides high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for CT examinations.
- Operate CT scanners to acquire accurate diagnostic images.
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles.
- Review imaging orders, verify patient identification, and confirm correct protocols.
- Assist radiologists with advanced imaging procedures.
- Ensure proper image acquisition, documentation, and transfer to PACS/EMR.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other technologists to support patient-centered care.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to quality, safety, and process improvement efforts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in CT operation and patient positioning for diagnostic accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices (ALARA).
- Detail-oriented order review, patient verification, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a clinical team and support continuous improvement.
