CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and supportive patient care. They work independently operating imaging and radiographic equipment, ensuring diagnostic accuracy while maintaining patient safety and comfort.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT procedures following department protocols, capturing diagnostic images efficiently.
  • Use technical knowledge to optimize imaging while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and rooms, reporting issues promptly.
  • Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient identity before exams.
  • Communicate procedures clearly, address patient questions, and reduce anxiety using AIDET.
  • Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout the process.
  • Administer contrast media, perform venipuncture, and position patients correctly.
  • Review images for quality, repeat or adjust as needed, and document accurately in RIS/PACS.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, monitor patient condition, and assist with life-support equipment.
  • Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
    • Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
    • Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
