Role: CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and ensuring patient safety at a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities: Perform CT procedures following department protocols, operate imaging equipment independently, and adjust techniques to optimize diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Maintain infection control standards by cleaning and disinfecting equipment, obtain clinical history, verify patient identity, and explain procedures using AIDET to reduce anxiety. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety, administer contrast agents using sterile techniques, and position patients appropriately. Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or adjust as needed, document accurately in RIS/PACS, and respond to emergencies. Support department operations by organizing workflows, maintaining supplies, transporting patients safely, and adhering to regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications include ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS from the American Heart Association. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, patient communication skills, and ability to work independently are essential.
