Position Overview: Provides anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for various surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgeries and cardiac catheterizations. Participates in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
Qualifications: Must graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program. Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse with CRNA specialty by the relevant nursing board. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association are required. Work experience cannot replace educational requirements.
Key Duties:
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patient vital signs during procedures
- Assist in diverse surgical and diagnostic tests
- Participate in clinical education of nurse anesthesia students
