Creative Arts Therapist (Per Diem)

This role involves providing creative arts therapy interventions to patients, caregivers, and bereaved persons in hospice and palliative care settings within Nassau and Queens counties.

Responsibilities include

accepting and triaging referrals for therapy services

conducting comprehensive clinical assessments during initial visits

delivering tailored creative arts therapy interventions to address physical, psychosocial, and spiritual issues

documenting clinical progress according to agency standards

participating in clinical training and supervising therapy interns

supporting program growth, research, education, and marketing efforts

Qualifications include current NY-State licensure or permit in creative arts therapy,
national certification in music therapy through the Certification Board for Music Therapists,
at least one year of experience in hospice, palliative, or medical settings,
and a valid driver’s license with a vehicle.
