The Co-worker Health Nurse provides essential health services to employees under the supervision of the Manager – Co-worker Health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting health assessments, immunizations, TB screenings, and respirator fit testing for co-workers.
- Providing first aid and managing on-the-job injuries, including workers’ compensation coordination.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements, and maintaining health records.
- Promoting wellness initiatives, safety committees, and health education.
- Preparing reports to support compliance and quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Current state RN licensure or LPN certification, with relevant clinical experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- For RNs: BLS certification; for LPNs: BLS and IV certification preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks.
Skills and attributes: Knowledge of immunizations, safety protocols, confidentiality, and regulatory guidelines. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
