Responsibilities
Assumes shift responsibility for planning and providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, and care partners. Coordinates multidisciplinary teams, directs nursing staff, and ensures safe, optimal health outcomes. Supports facility vision, mission, and goals while demonstrating professional leadership and support to healthcare teams. Oversees and guides staff, emphasizing Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence standards.
Qualifications
- Education: BSN from an accredited nursing school.
- Experience: Minimum of one year full-time or three years part-time in acute care specialty nursing; supervisory experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cardiovascular assessment, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and familiarity with stress testing preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in Nevada, BLS certification, and required specialty training (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
Must pass pre-employment assessments. Incumbents with 20+ years in the role as of 3/1/2023 are exempt from a bachelor’s degree requirement.
