Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a multidisciplinary ICU, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The nurse will promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management and post-treatment needs, and participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with collaboration from the interprofessional team, patients, and families.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Ensure communication of care plans across the continuum and promote safety and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licensure: Valid RN license.
- Experience: One to Two years of critical care experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.
- Additional skills: Critical nursing skills, ability to work safely, and strong communication.
