Role Overview:
This position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care and clinical services to a diverse patient population. The pharmacist will assess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication use, ensuring safe and effective therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage workflow and supervise technicians, interns, and volunteers to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees to support pharmacy operations.
- Serve as a medication therapy resource, providing drug information, staff training, and care transition support.
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, considering patient condition and therapies, and document activities accordingly.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and safety within medication use processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience; supervisory experience not required.
- Licenses including RPh and Medication Therapy Services in MO.
- Strong knowledge of medication management, patient assessment, and regulatory standards.
