Role Overview:
This PRN Clinical Pharmacist supports outpatient infusion services at a hospital’s oncology and neurology infusion center, primarily serving oncology, non-oncology, and multiple sclerosis patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee medication use from order verification to dispensing and documentation, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with nursing, providers, and pharmacy leadership to optimize workflow, reduce delays, and enhance patient experience.
- Standardize therapies, support operational readiness, and implement process improvements for efficiency and safety.
- Manage workflow, supervise technicians, interns, and volunteers, and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Serve as a medication therapy resource, evaluate medication orders, and provide staff training and education.
- Support procurement, storage, and disposal of medications, and address medication-related issues.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience; supervisory experience not required.
- Licensure as a Pharmacist and in Medication Therapy Services in MO.
- Strong collaboration, attention to detail, and process improvement skills.
