Role: The Rapid Response/Code Team Clinical Nurse provides hospital-wide emergency response and acts as a clinical resource to staff, offering guidance and education on procedures.
Responsibilities:
Responds to emergency codes such as Code Blue, White, and trauma events. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in accordance with nursing standards. Educates patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Promotes patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Develops individualized care plans and communicates effectively across care teams. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department experience. ACLS certification required. Nursing diploma/associate’s degree; RN license. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience. Safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.
