Clinical Nurse – PRN

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a high-acuity Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, specializing in post-operative care for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular patients, including ECMO, VAD, and transplants.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote patient- and family-centered care, including education on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
  • Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and families.
  • Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and emotional considerations.
  • Maintain safety standards, demonstrating alertness and safe practices at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; RN license required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
  • Strong critical nursing skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.
