Role Overview:
Our Float Pool nurses provide high-quality, specialized care across units such as ICUs and ER, promoting patient and family-centered care, education, and safety. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring communication and continuity of care. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, participating in quality and safety initiatives, and addressing physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs. This position requires critical nursing skills and adherence to safety standards as it is designated safety-sensitive.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years’ RN experience in acute care (preferred)
- Ability to work independently with strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to professional development and patient advocacy
Key Duties:
- Provide comprehensive direct patient care within nursing standards
- Develop, document, and communicate individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on managing health conditions and post-discharge needs
