Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a pediatric emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.
Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
Participates in activities to enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engages in ongoing professional development.
Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans, collaborating with the interprofessional team, patients, and families.
Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RN license required; Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in pediatric acute care or emergency nursing.
- Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
