Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a pediatric emergency setting within a trauma center, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
Promotes patient and family-centered care through education on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration.
Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
Develops and documents individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families, and communicates care across the continuum.
Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific considerations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RN licensure required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of pediatric emergency or acute care experience.
- Experience in a pediatric emergency department is advantageous.
- Ability to work safely, maintain alertness, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
