Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a pediatric emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and compliance with regulations.
Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and families, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care.
Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs using critical nursing skills, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness to ensure safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing; RN licensure required.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and two years of experience in emergency or pediatric acute care.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
