Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced Critical Care PACU environment, managing a 90-bed unit. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while promoting patient and family-centered care, safety, and regulatory compliance. The role requires developing and documenting individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, and educating patients and families on post-treatment management. Critical nursing skills for evaluating physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs are essential, with an emphasis on cultural and population-specific considerations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree and RN license
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience
- Experience in Phase 1 PACU or level 1 critical care is a plus
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness is essential
