Role Overview:
This nursing position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced PACU environment, managing neuro, transplant, orthopedic, ENT, cardiovascular, thoracic, trauma, and spine patients. Critical care experience is preferred. The role includes assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within established standards, promoting patient and family-centered care, and educating on post-treatment needs and medication management.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team, patients, and families.
- Ensuring communication of care plans across the continuum.
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, and spiritual factors.
- Participating in activities that promote safety, quality, and professional development.
- Providing care that aligns with standards and promotes a healing environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; two years of experience preferred.
- Skills: Critical thinking, communication, patient education, teamwork.
