Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a high-acuity PACU setting, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions within established standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on post-treatment management, and participates in activities that ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with an interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans is essential, along with assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. The role requires working in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years of nursing experience preferred for advanced roles
- Critical Care or PACU experience considered a plus
