Clinical Nurse – PACU Weekend Option

Role: Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced PACU environment, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to standards. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring patient safety and quality care. Educates patients and families on post-treatment management, including medication administration and home care. Utilizes critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.


Responsibilities:

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
  • Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities and ongoing professional development.
  • Develops and documents care plans with defined goals, facilitating communication across care settings.
  • Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
  • Works in a safety-sensitive role, maintaining constant alertness to ensure safety.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licenses: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
  • Skills: Critical thinking, patient education, teamwork, adaptability.
