Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in an orthopedic surgery setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on post-treatment management, and participation in safety, quality, and compliance activities. Nurses will develop and communicate individualized care plans, assess physical and psychosocial needs, and address cultural and emotional considerations. It is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe working practices.
Responsibilities:
- Promote healing environment and educate patients/families on care management
- Participate in safety, quality, and professional development initiatives
- Develop, implement, and document care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients
- Assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs
- Maintain safety and compliance standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Licenses: RN license required
- Experience: Entry-level or up to 2 years preferred; OR experience is not mandatory
- Proven ability to work safely, demonstrate critical thinking, and collaborate effectively
