Role Overview:
Seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment within a Level I trauma center. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The nurse will educate patients and families, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with an interprofessional team. Critical nursing skills, cultural competence, and a commitment to professional growth are essential. BSN is preferred, with consideration for AD-N candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient and family-centered care, including education on post-treatment needs and medication management.
- Participate in safety initiatives and professional development activities.
- Create and communicate comprehensive care plans aligned with standards of nursing practice.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
- Maintain a safety-sensitive approach, demonstrating alertness at all times.
Qualifications:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licenses: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
- Skills: Strong team orientation, critical thinking, and adaptability; willingness to learn scrub and circulate skills.
