Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care within a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment, specifically focusing on vascular procedures in a hospital with a Level I trauma program. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, promoting safety and quality standards, and educating patients and families on post-treatment needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural values.
- Participate in safety initiatives, professional development, and regulatory compliance.
- Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Contribute to a healing environment aligned with organizational values of kindness, safety, and teamwork.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- RN licensure required; minimum no experience needed, with preferred experience of 2+ years.
- Passion for teamwork, excellent communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to learn scrubbing and circulating in surgical settings.
- Safety awareness and alertness are essential.
