Clinical Nurse – Operating Room

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care within a fast-paced, specialized environment, focusing on cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. It requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care while promoting patient safety and education. The role emphasizes collaborative care planning, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and supporting patient and family understanding of treatment and recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient- and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-discharge needs.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
  • Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate patient needs, considering cultural, emotional, and spiritual factors.
  • Maintain safety awareness, ensuring safe work practices at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Licenses: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
  • Additional: Ability to work safely, strong critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
