Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a perioperative setting, focusing on abdominal, pelvic, GYN, urology, and general surgery procedures within an operating room environment. The role requires assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients’ families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals, maintaining effective communication across care teams.
- Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment, demonstrating alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
- Licenses & Certifications: Current RN license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
