Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in an acute care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance. Develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, considering physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs. Utilizes critical nursing skills to evaluate patient conditions and advocate for patient preferences.
Responsibilities: Educate patients and families, participate in quality improvement activities, communicate care plans effectively, and maintain safety standards. This role is safety-sensitive and requires alertness and safe work practices.
Qualifications: RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred. No prior experience required; <2 years experience preferred. Cardiothoracic or cath lab experience is a plus.
