Clinical Nurse Oncology

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care in a specialized 30-bed unit focused on female health issues, primarily GYN Oncology. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within established standards. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, educate patients and families on managing their health, and promote safety and quality compliance. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Requires a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree (RN license)
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience
  • Strong patient education, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a high-acuity environment

Key Duties:

  • Promote patient-centered care and educate families on health management
  • Participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Assess patient needs holistically, respecting emotional, spiritual, and cultural factors
