Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented 24-bed Observation Unit, handling patients requiring short-term treatment, monitoring, and recovery, typically within 24 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care activities following nursing standards.
- Educate patients and families on managing illness, medication administration, and post-treatment care.
- Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance efforts; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Develop and communicate individualized care plans, considering patient preferences, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Monitor patients with complex medical needs, including pain management, IV therapies, blood transfusions, post-surgical observation, and drain management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree and RN licensure.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and two years of experience.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to work alertly and safely.
