Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care on a 16-bed Medical, Med Surg/Ortho unit, emphasizing patient and family-centered care, education, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care within established standards.
- Develop and communicate individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Educate patients and families on managing illness, medication, and post-treatment needs.
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and professional development activities.
- Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs, considering cultural and individual preferences.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licenses: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
- Competencies: Strong assessment, communication, teamwork, and safety awareness skills.
