Clinical Nurse – Labor & Delivery/Women’s Assessment Center

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication use. Collaborates with the interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations. This safety-sensitive position requires alertness and safe work practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational requirements include a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licensure as an RN is mandatory.
  • No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a healing environment through patient and family education.
  • Participate in activities supporting patient safety, quality improvement, and professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans in collaboration with the care team and patients.
  • Assess and evaluate patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, respecting individual preferences and cultural backgrounds.
