Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a high-risk cardiology unit, caring for patients with conditions such as CAD, HTN, arrhythmias, heart failure, and valve disease. The nurse collaborates with a team of Hospitalists and cardiology consultants, utilizing advanced certifications like BLS, ACLS, and extensive EKG training. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized care plans, educating patients and families, promoting safety and quality compliance, and assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, communication across care teams, and adherence to standards of nursing practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license
  • Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles
  • Skills: Critical thinking, patient education, collaboration, safety awareness
