Clinical Nurse – GYN Oncology

Role Overview:

Provides direct nursing care in a specialized 30-bed unit focused on female health issues, primarily GYN Oncology. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, emphasizing patient and family education, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Utilizes critical nursing skills to address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural values. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and physicians to develop and communicate individualized care plans.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • BSN or ADN required; RN license essential
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety at all times

Key Duties:

  • Promote patient-centered care and patient education on illness management and post-treatment needs
  • Participate in activities that enhance safety, quality, and compliance
  • Develop and document individualized care plans with team collaboration
  • Assess physical, emotional, and cultural needs, addressing barriers to involvement
