Clinical Nurse – GI/GU

Role: Clinical Nurse in a specialized surgical unit focusing on GI and GU procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to nursing standards.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; participate in professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • RN license required; Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • No prior experience necessary; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.
