Clinical Nurse GI/GU

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care settings. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors. Maintains safety awareness as this is a safety-sensitive role.


Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
  • RN license required
  • No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred for Bachelor’s degree holders
