Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care on a 18-bed Med/Surg unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and post-treatment needs. Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
- Communicates effectively across the continuum of care, proactively planning and sharing the care plan.
- Participates in activities that enhance safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
- No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness.
