Clinical Nurse Diabetes Educator PRN

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration. Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
  • Ensures effective communication across the continuum of care and promotes a healing environment.
  • Works in a safety-sensitive capacity, maintaining constant alertness to ensure safe practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Licenses: Active RN license required.
  • Experience: Previous experience preferred; new graduates are considered.
  • Additional Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and teaching abilities; commitment to professional growth.
