Clinical Nurse Diabetes Educator PRN

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within established nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication administration, and post-treatment needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural background.
  • Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: Previous experience preferred; no prior experience required.
  • Skills: Strong assessment and communication skills, ability to work safely and alertly in a safety-sensitive environment.
