Role Overview
This position is for an ambulatory float pool clinical nurse providing high-quality, patient-centered care across various outpatient settings, including specialty clinics, surgical subspecialties, and procedural areas. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Nurses collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educate patients and families on managing health conditions, and address social determinants impacting health outcomes. Flexibility, critical thinking, and strong communication skills are essential to succeed in diverse clinical environments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management and post-treatment needs.
- Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Develop and communicate individualized care plans with team members, patients, and caregivers.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers to care.
- Maintain safety as a priority in all activities, working in a vigilant and safe manner.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; BSN preferred.
- Experience: No specific experience required; 2+ years’ experience preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
