Role Overview:
The Ambulatory Float Pool Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse outpatient settings, including specialty clinics, surgical subspecialties, and procedural areas. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Nurses collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, address social determinants of health, and educate patients and families on illness management and post-treatment needs. The position requires flexibility, critical thinking, and strong communication skills to adapt to various clinical environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
- Educate patients and families on managing their health and medications.
- Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, and pursue professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans with input from patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers to involvement in care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree; BSN preferred.
- Experience: No minimum required; 2+ years of nursing experience preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
