Role Overview:
Responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality HIM services and revenue cycle performance.
Provides system-level oversight of processes, initiatives, and compliance with policies and regulations.
Fosters a collaborative environment, promotes staff motivation, and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders.
Participates in quality assurance, process improvement, and client satisfaction activities.
Ensures staff adherence to federal, state, and local laws, as well as organizational standards.
Prepares reports, monitors trends, and implements action plans to enhance service quality efficiently.
Maintains expert knowledge of HIM practices and revenue cycle management to support organizational goals.
Identifies operational priorities, drives process improvements, and works independently to advance projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience in acute care medical records and healthcare revenue cycle
- Knowledge of HIM processes, federal and state regulations, and compliance standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and process improvement skills
- Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree, RHIT/RHIA licensure, release of information expertise
