Operating Room Charge Registered Nurse provides and leads perioperative nursing care in the hospital OR.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct perioperative patient care and lead the nursing team during surgical procedures.
- Coordinate staff assignments and support surgical teams to maintain efficient OR operations.
- Manage daily OR workflow and respond to changing patient conditions and operational needs.
- Support surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical personnel to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
- Uphold patient safety standards, infection prevention practices, and patient privacy.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Registered Nurse licensure with strong perioperative OR experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and care coordination skills.
- Ability to rapidly assess and respond to patient and operational changes.
- Working knowledge of aseptic technique, infection prevention, and safety protocols.
- Professional communication and teamwork with surgical and anesthesia staff.
