Role Overview:
Seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room to assist during surgical procedures, ensuring the availability and proper handling of instrumentation, equipment, and supplies as per physician requests. The role involves performing scrub responsibilities, anticipating surgeon needs, and maintaining a safe environment for patients of all age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prepare surgical tools and supplies based on physician and patient needs.
- Handle, care for, and inspect surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately.
- Perform scrub duties, assist during surgeries, and anticipate the surgeon’s requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients of all ages to ensure safety and comfort.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an approved surgical technology program.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous surgical experience or on-the-job training.
- Certification in surgical technology is preferred.
Additional Details:
- Full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.
- Hours are from 6:45am to 3:15pm with on-call rotation.
