Summary:
Provides anesthesia care in the operating room to support surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. Responsibilities include preoperative evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative follow-up, acting as a patient advocate and liaison among patients, families, and medical staff. Key duties involve selecting and administering anesthesia, monitoring patient vital signs, adjusting medications, managing airway and emergency responses, and ensuring patient safety. Organizes the OR environment, conducts equipment checks, and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure a safe, efficient procedure. Maintains accurate documentation in the EMR and transports patients safely post-procedure. Serves as a mentor and preceptor to peers and staff. Requires a Master’s Degree in Nursing, strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a clinical setting.
