Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Role Overview: Provides anesthesia care in the operating room, supporting surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. Responsibilities include preoperative evaluation, postoperative follow-up, and acting as a patient advocate and liaison among patients, families, and physicians.


Key Duties: Administer anesthesia across a wide range of cases at a Level I Trauma Center, supporting 13 non-OR sites such as GI/Pulm, Cath/EP lab, IR, OB, and MRI. Cover nearly all case types except heart/lung transplants and burns. Support a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult cases.


Qualifications & Skills: Master’s Degree in Nursing (required). Ability to work independently, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and adapt to a variety of clinical settings. Support from specialists and subspecialists is available.
